AUTISM: We Do Recover!

Posted: February 19, 2011 in Don Cobb, God, principled living, recovery, Spiritual living

No one is certain what causes Autism, but what we do know is that some people recover from Autism symptoms. That is the case with my daughter, Madison Cobb. Once stricken with extreme social anxiety, common to Autism, now completely free from any sign of social anxiety. There is no question that the steps we’ve taken led to her immediate and amazing recovery. And that isn’t all. She’s recovered from a plethora of symptoms common to children with Autism, gone in what seemed like a moment!

There is more information at Joined At the Heart about Madison’s amazing recovery from her Autism symptoms. We did some distinct and identifiable things, all at around the same time, and so we aren’t certain how each action played a role in Maddy’s recovery. We do know that after 2 years of daily prayer, with Maddy and over her, faithfully each morning, those prayers have now all been answered, and then some! We praise the Lord for His blessings, for freeing Maddy up in so many ways from symptoms we, as a family, had known since she was born.

In prayer for every child with Autism,

Don, Dawn and Madison Cobb
